CEO of Deezer is new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Scout 24

Munich, 21 June 2018 –

Dr. Hans-Holger Albrecht is the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Scout24 AG ("Scout24"), the leading operator of digital marketplaces for real estate and automobiles in Germany and other European countries. The internationally experienced manager and CEO of the music streaming company Deezer S.A. was elected to the Supervisory Board today by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of Scout24 AG. Another new member of the board is HR expert Ciara Smyth, who has many years of management experience in digital companies. Investors can look forward to an increase in the dividend of around 80 percent. The distribution will increase from €0.30 to €0.56 per share.

Dr. Hans-Holger Albrecht has been CEO and Board member of Deezer S.A., Paris and London, since 2015, leading one of the world's leading music streaming companies, providing music and other audio products to 14 million active customers per month in 180 countries. He has over 20 years of international experience as CEO of listed companies in the media, digital and telecommunications sectors with a focus on growth, innovation and long-term value creation.

Ciara Smyth is an experienced HR executive with more than 20 years of experience in various high-growth digital companies. She also has a deep understanding of the marketplace model, mainly from her time at the car sharing company Zipcar, and the dynamics of business in a "mobile first" world from her time at King and Paddy Power Betfair.

The appointment to the Supervisory Board was necessary after Supervisory Board members Stefan Goetz, Patrick Healy and Blake Kleinman of Hellman & Friedman declared in April that they would resign from their positions at the end of today's Annual General Meeting. The background to this is the withdrawal of the financial investor Hellman & Friedman from the business of Scout24 AG. The latter had sold its last block of shares in February 2018. Thereafter, the proportion of shares in free float increased to almost 100 percent, which also contributed to a significantly increased trading volume in recent months. Scout24 has been listed in the MDAX since this week.
