#AskScout24: Introduction of Event Team

The Scout24 Event Team consists of Sharia Rahim, Antonia Gleß and Hüseyn Bayramov who are in charge of the conceptualisation and planning of the company’s external and internal events. We met up to talk with them about their highlights, their next events and what they see as trends in their line of work.

1. What are your main responsibilities at Scout24?

Antonia: At Scout24 we are a central Event Team. That means, we are responsible for organising both, internal and external Scout24 events. It is important to us to always build a great bridge between the brand and the live experience.

2. Which aspects in event management are often underestimated?

Sharia: I think many people assume, whenever they hear from event managers, that it has to be a great job as you can always party and enjoy delicious food and good drinks around you. But behind the scenes, it requires a huge effort to be the contact on-site for everybody and to keep an eye on everything at the same time.

3Name two events highlights at Scout24 that you are particularly proud of.

Hüseyn: One of our event highlights this year was the Office Opening Party for our Scouts in Munich. We had the opportunity to design many play stations so that our colleagues can get to know their “new home” better. The second event highlight is the roadshow we organise for our customers. Here we visit the respective cities of our customers and listen to exciting lectures by well-known keynote speakers while enjoying good food.

4. Let’s talk about the future. What are your main projects for 2018?

Antonia: A very exciting, internal project that is coming soon is the Employee Summer Party to which we invite the families as well. In other words, we are organising a very exciting supporting programme for children and the partners as well. And externally, we also strive for new event formats, such as the organisation of professional conferences.

5. You are experts in the area event management so could you provide us with some insights into future trends relating to this field?

Sharia: Of course, event management can‘t avoid digitisation. When organising conferences and conventions we also have to take the interactive involvement of guests into consideration, for example, via event apps or similar features such as social media walls. But of course, what’s also absolutely trendy at the moment, are breaks in style, in which you simply surprise the guests so that they dare to try things that you don’t normally know.
